Syria, Damascus April / May 2011 Paintings
In april 2011 reisde ik naar Syrië om vrienden te ontmoeten en de stad te schilderen. De situatie was zeer gespannen vanwege de demonstraties die in het hele land plaatsvonden. In het Cultureel Supplement van het NRC verscheen op 26 mei een artikel over mijn activiteitn als schilder in Damascus.
In April 2011 I travelled to Syria to meet my friends and paint the city. The situation was very tense due to the demonstrations that took place allover the country. On the 26th of May an article appeared in the Dutch daily NRC-Handelsblad about my activities as a painter in Damascus.
